Big news for El Paso potters, ceramic artists, and clay enthusiasts: Clayworks El Paso is now an official distributor of Rocky Mountain Clay Company!
We’re excited to bring more clay options closer to home and help support the creative community here in El Paso and across the Borderland. Whether you’re throwing your first bowl, handbuilding a new collection, or keeping a busy studio stocked, having a local place to purchase clay makes it easier to keep creating.
For us, this is a natural next step in growing Clayworks into a resource for our community—a place to learn, share ideas, and find materials for whatever you’re making next.
More Clay, Closer to Home
Ordering clay can take planning, especially when heavy materials need to travel long distances. Bringing Rocky Mountain Clay to Clayworks gives local makers another option for sourcing clay right here in El Paso.
It also gives us the opportunity to hear directly from you. What do you enjoy working with? What would you like to try? As we build our selection, those conversations will help us understand what our local pottery community needs.
Help Shape Our Selection
Every maker has their preferences. Maybe you love a smooth clay for throwing, enjoy the texture of a grogged body, or want to explore a different clay color for your next project.
Is there a Rocky Mountain Clay body you’d love to see at Clayworks? Let us know! We welcome requests and can discuss availability and ordering options with you.
Keep an eye on our website and social media for updates on clay bodies, pricing, and availability.
Let’s Keep Creating, El Paso
Thank you for supporting Clayworks as we grow. Every class you take, piece you make, and recommendation you share helps us build a place where creativity and community can thrive.
We’re proud to welcome Rocky Mountain Clay Company to this next chapter—and we can’t wait to see what you make with it.
