Our Flagstone clay will steal your heart upon first glance! As our most popular dark mid-fire clay, Flagstone is a blend of two high-iron content clays, ball clays and other materials to achieve plasticity and strength. Rocky Mountain Clay has been making Flagstone for many years with great customer results in both functional ware and sculptural pieces.
As one of our most popular mid-fire clays, Flagstone is designed for versatile use with an outstanding medium red brown color giving you the 'wow' factor!
In reduction, this clay tends to take on a darker iron red color tone but will vary depending on how it is reduced.
