BMX Speck Clay | RMC

The classic, creamy, white, mid-fire stoneware you love, only this time with a scatter of speckles. Our BMX Speck has been an 'if you know, you know' clay body on our roster for awhile. However, now that enough of our customers know about it, its only fair to make it official - we are in love with the BMX Speck! It's true, and we cannot deny it any longer.

With a tested and reliable firing range between cone 5 and cone 7, we recommend it preforms best at cone 5/6. The Manganese Speck displays a wonderful amount of speckling across your pieces that show beautifully through glazes. But just like most speckled clays, if it is fired hotter than a cone 7, it has the tendency to bloat and is not recommended for reduction without testing prior.
